Madness Behind the Manes

I had the recent experience backstage during fashion week to assist with the stylists configuring of Fall fashion's latest looks. Many designers went with "character" looks, giving each model and uniformly their attire, it's own unique look. At the Milly show, these stylists went with an asymetric ponytail and head-bandeau that were oh-so perfectly up-swept but slightly tousled at the tail. Mainly at home in the dresser's quarters as I am a designer, the insanity in an area with which I am not versed left me speechless and like roadkill..but nonetheless with great respect for the perfection of their craft. Bringing 80's Back

It seems that the decade which we tried to forget for it's fashion mishaps is rearing it's lovely head again amongst the global designers' think bubbles. Runways for A/W 09-10 were brimming with nods to our 80's past and the fresh take on a modern twist of edginess gave this dismissed time period a second chance for fashion acceptance. Designers that participated in the generation-Madonna birth were Marc Jacobs with his highly exaggerated shoulder volume and Alexander Wang with his glossy reptilian biker shorts. Let us not forget about the illustrious Mc Hammer pant, which were modified to magnificence in the collection by Catherine Holstein. You can't touch this.
